Editorial process timeline
Editorial Review: The Editorial Team takes about one month from the acknowledgment of receipt to assess the relevance of the manuscript.
Blind Peer Reviews: The process of finding reviewers, sending the manuscript, and receiving their verdict will take around 3 months.
Incorporation of Corrections: The time required for incorporating corrections into approved articles will depend on the volume of observations made by the reviewers.
Editing Process: From the acknowledgment of receipt of the article to its publication, the overall process will take approximately 8 months.
Evaluation Phases: The evaluation process through the OJS platform for journals consists of four phases from the receipt of a manuscript.
- In the first phase, after acknowledging receipt of the original manuscript, the Editorial Team reviews its relevance according to the journal's guidelines.
- The second phase is the double-blind peer review process, in which subject matter experts review the manuscript and provide a verdict based on an evaluation rubric provided by the journal.
- The third phase, after the article is accepted, is the process in which the author incorporates the necessary corrections into the manuscript.
- The fourth phase is the editing process, which involves a style review and layout design. Once completed, the article is ready for publication.
